Texas Twins Events, Alliance Petroleum, and Pinpoint Homes on CEO Money

Wendy Wortham
and Cindy Daniel
Event Coordinators/Owners
Texas Twins Events

Wendy Wortham created a low cost wedding and Events business in order to address the needs of low to middle class consumers who were effectively “caught in a donut hole.” Years ago, their budget for a wedding was non existent so Wendy was aware that a need for affordable options existed. A few years after starting Texas Twins Events, their entire family joined the company due to explosion of bookings and Texas twins expanded to add the option of bartering by merging Texas Twins Events and Texas Twins Treasures to create The Pawning Planners. Last year the business took another “twist” when a client asked Texas twins to officiate a Texas Prison Wedding, and then again expanded to include TDCJ Prison Weddings.

Mike Breese
PinPoint Homes, LLC
On this week’s show, Mike brings up some very interesting technology that he encountered at the IMN Single Family Rental Conference including:

  • Entera – in 10 markets including Houston – basically robo agent analyzing data from MLS, Zillow Direct, roofstock, auction to find the properties that match your criteria
  • Virtual Key – 200 different wireless products to enable security and convenience controls at your properties – including locks, thermostats, lighting, cameras, etc. The big advantage with them, they configure and sync all the products BEFORE shipping and have live facetime style installation teachers to help make the contractor learning curve easier.
  • Buildium – a new property management software that has a friendly interface and is low cost as its pay as you use, $1/property/month
